Zena is rescued by one our our dear customers. Zena was underfed in an unsafe stable left ‘alone’ with 10 other friends. She suffered from neglect and was very far in her pregnancy when she arrived.

 

Two weeks later she gave birth to a premature foal. We all hoped for a healthy foal but that was too much to hope for given her previous situation with lack of food and vitamines to support her baby.

Zena mourned 3 days and slowly recovered. Now Zena is doing her first strides on the beach with success. She is trained on the lunge line and ridden by her owner in the arena. Her future is bright and we are thankful to have her at salty Cowboy.
